Towards Strong Stakeholder Relations - Governing Board of GEA pays Courtesy visit to VRA

The governing board of the Ghana Energy Awards paid a courtesy call on the Acting Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority Ing Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo today at the Electro Volta House in Accra.

The meeting was to formally congratulate the new leader of VRA, lend support for the energy industry’s leader in powering economies and to foster stronger stakeholder relations.

The Chairman of the GEA Board, Mr Kwame Jantuah, opened the deliberations with a firm promise to deepen relations with the Volta River Authority which has partnered the premier awards scheme for the past nine years. He commended VRA for its commitment to being a model of excellence, continuously adding value to lives and being an industry leader in innovation and reliability.

The CEO of the GEA Mr Henry Teinor also congratulated the Acting Chief Executive of VRA who was honored at the eighth edition of the awards ceremony in 2024 for his exemplary leadership.

He also encouraged Ing. Obeng-Kenzo to deepen relations to help grow the Ghanaian economy with VRA the state energy producer as the backbone for development.

Welcoming the delegation, the Acting Chief Executive Ing Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo thanked the board for the warm messages and promised to foster the strong relations between the two organizations.

Ing Obeng-Kenzo also affirmed VRA’s commitment to adding value to lives and maintaining its foothold as the heartbeat of the nation with affordable and reliable electricity provision.

The GEA delegation included Kwame Jantuah, Dr. Kwame Ampofo, Canon Lawrence Tetteh, Dr Jemima Nunoo and Solomon Adjetey (Acting Chief Director, Ministry of Energy and Green Transition).

The VRA delegation included Ing Edward E. Obeng-Kenzo (Acting Chief Executive), Nana Yaw Anane Binfoh (Manager Office of Chief Executive), Francis Kobena Abban (Manager Corporate Communications and Branding), and Lawrence Quartey, (Principal Information Officer).
