Akosombo Hotel Limited
This is a 3-star luxury 50-room hotel, located on a hilltop overlooking the Akosombo Hydroelectric Dam. It provides good quality hospitality services and promotes tourist activities in and around the Akosombo Dam and Volta Lake. Conference tourism has increased as the main source of revenue accounting for approximately 70% of the business of the hotel.

Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC)
VLTC was incorporated in 1970 to provide North-South water-borne transport for persons and freight on the Volta Lake. The Company operates a fleet of passenger vessels, cargo ships and barges, totalling 19 sailing vessels.

Kpong Farms
The KFL was established in 1982 as the agribusiness subsidiary of the Volta River Authority and was authorized under its articles of incorporation to udertake viable agricultural venture in irrigation and mechanized farming, animal husbandry and meat processing by harnessing the water resources of the Volta Lake. Provide transfer of appropriate technology.

Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo)
The Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) of the Volta River Authority (VRA) is responsible for the supply of power to the Northern parts of Ghana. NEDCo operates at 34.5kV, 11kV and 400V voltage levels. We have over 350,000 customers and operate at very reliable levels.

VRA Property Holding Company (VRA PROPCo)
The VRA Property Holding Company (PROPCo) currently performs the mandated functions of Planning, Acquiring, Developing, Maintaining and Managing the Authority’s Townships, Estates and Properties. The company which previously operated as Support Service to VRA on a non-profit basis now functions as a Strategic Business Unit to generate revenue.

VRA Health Services Limited
The VRA Health Services Limited l provides medical care for Staff of the Authority and the general Paying Public within the catchment area and beyond. It is the only hospital located in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region of the Country, serving all the towns in the district and beyond.

VRA Schools
The VRA International Schools comprise a group of private schools owned by the Volta River Authority, located at Akosombo and Akuse in the Eastern Region and the Western Region of Ghana, Aboadze near Takoradi offering quality education basic and secondary education.
